Stephanie Conway, Senior Organisational Development Practitioner and Leadership Coach, Google Dublin is speaking about the Future of Learning – and identifies learning trends. She shares observations and examples from her practice, and you will get an overview on People Operations @ Google and their beliefs about learning, as well as information about future trends in learning inside Google. During Stephanie’s tenure at the company she has led regional and global teams in online sales and operations as well as Learning and Development. She also holds a MSc. in Executive Coaching from Ashridge Business School (UK) and is actively involved in the coaching community in Ireland and across Europe. 

Day 2 sees Prof. Dr. Gundolf S. Freyermuth, asking “Is the AI Apocalypse Near? High Hopes, Even Greater Fears, and Scientific Reality in AI Research”. He is a founding co-director and Professor of Media and Game Studies at the Cologne Game Lab of TH Koeln - University of Technology, Arts and Sciences, as well as Professor of Comparative Media Studies at the ifs international film school of Cologne and representative of the Film and Media Board of North Rhine-Westphalia. He has published over 400 essays, and has authored, edited and co-edited some 20 volumes of non-fiction and fiction. His research focuses on digital games, audiovisuality, transmediality, and network culture. Get a general overview on the current state of AI, and hear about widespread hopes and popular fears associated with AI research and implementation. He will try to identify and analyze foreseeable tendencies and trends. A focal point in all three parts will be on the central role that games have played and are still playing in the conception, realization, and implementation of artificial intelligence.

Another highlight will be Pepper, a humanoid, presenting together with Prof. Dr. Juergen Handke, University Marburg: Project "HEART" - Humanoid Robots as Assistants in Teaching and Learning. The pair will formulate questions and develop initial hypotheses about how the co-operation of humanoid robots and people in various everyday roles and situations can create added value for both. Head over to the Solution Stage Learning for the presentation: Digitalization in executive education – using a serious learning game to improve managerial decision making. Dr. Benjamin Quaiser, Director Executive Development Programs, ESMT Berlin giving insights into the project of developing and launching a serious learning game to teach decision making in an innovative way and to raise the awareness of associated biases managers are confronted with. Tapping into the trend of gamification and in collaboration with a Berlin-based start-up, ESMT Berlin has developed a mobile game for the use in executive development.
